Personality (March 2005)
This just in, Flash! Greg Stewart has just been elected to be President of the District 4 MLA. After months of campaigning and three recounts, he has been elected the winner. Wait a minute, that's me. This is not a joke, but the reputation of our D4 MLA is. We have one really good activity I can say I'm proud of, and it seems to be run by the same small group of Brothers every year, the Scholarship Committee. Let's make some T-shirts and answer phones for a public television pledge drive. It's fun, they feed you, and a black shirt with D4 MLA F&AM shows up really good on television. We will march in the Greenwood parade this summer as a District. This parade is large enough to warrant the Grand Lodge float. What do we need to do for logistics? I have a calendar that I have been circulating for all D4 activities. I gave it to Brian Hardy to put on our D4 web page, tell your buddies. Finding out what is happening next hasn't been easier. February 28 the D4 MLA will meet at Doric Lodge. I hope to see some of the seated officers especially Senior Wardens in attendance. We will send the minutes to each Lodge to be considered under communications.Oh yeah, personality. March 26, District 4 will hold a reception for our Grand Master Sat Tashiro at Greenwood Lodge. Dinner is $10.00 and will be served at 6:30PM.
Advance reservations are accepted with funds and recommended to guarantee seating. My wife Heather will conduct a Meyers-Briggs personality type test. The last time I did it was with a bunch of adults who were at Grand Council for Job's Daughters. The Masons will go upstairs for reports and a short meeting. The Lodge will not be Tyled and all are invited. I want to keep that part as efficient as possible. If you have any questions email me at underthetable@earthlink.net or call me at home (206) 528-1320.
