District Four (July-August 2005)

As your newly installed Deputy of the Grand Master in District Four, I have been given an esteemed honor and a considerable responsibility.   It is a responsibility which, my Brothers, I take seriously and pledge to perform to the highest level of my ability.

It is my charge to be the personal representative of the Grand Master in our District, to encourage excellence in lodge proficiency, to support strong leadership in the lodges, to sustain the Code and to maintain the honor and reputation of the Craft.  These are daunting but most worthy tasks.  And though I feel somewhat overwhelmed, I will, with humility and enthusiasm, assume the work.

My Brothers, you are District Four.  I appeal to you for your able assistance, guidance and patient understanding as we work together to further the ideals of Masonry.  It is with no little trepidation and excitement that I look forward to the upcoming year of labor together.  To serve the Grand Master and you, the Brethren of District Four will be my great privilege.
