Members of District 4:
We have entered the Installation Season and have an impressive 1-0 record.
Congratulations to Maritime Lodge No. 239, who held a nicely attended and performed ceremony on October 3rd, followed by a wonderful dinner. Good luck to proud new Master James Carey, who four days later led a group that went out and captured the Traveling Gavel.
The Team featured Most Worshipful Brothers Carl Smith and Ken Robinson. If you haven’t witnessed the dulcet tones of these old pros installing or delivering the charges many times, you’re missing out. Maritime Lodge gained immeasurably by having such a well supported event, as will the other Lodges. Here are the other Installation opportunities, (open unless noted):
- Doric No. 92, Saturday, November 21, 7:00 p.m. (dinner at 6:00 p.m., social at 5:00 p.m.)
- Occidental No. 72, Friday, December 4, 6:30 p.m. (buffet after)
- Greenwood No. 253, Saturday, December 5, 5:00 p.m. (dinner after)
- Green Lake No. 149, Friday, December 11, 7:00 p.m. (dinner at 6:00 p.m.)
- Rainier No. 189, Saturday, December 12, 5:00 p.m. (dinner after) Greenwood Masonic Center
- Walter F. Meier Lodge of Research No. 281, Friday, December 18, 7:30 p.m. (dinner 6:30 p.m., tyled installation) Greenwood Masonic Center
A District 4 workshop will be held at Greenwood Masonic Center on Saturday, November 7 with breakfast at 7:45 a.m. and seminars from 8:30 until 11:00 a.m. All District 4 Brothers are welcome and officers are particularly encouraged to attend. Facilitators will include WB Larry Blake (Masonic Symbolism), WB Steve Ellis (WMC and Proficiency in Lodge Management), VWB Brian Hardy (ritual, floor work, and protocol), WB Charles Tupper (programs and planning), MWB Carl B. Smith (jurisprudence, Grand Lodge).
Don’t forget the bowling event November 22nd in Edmonds. Even if you’re not bowling, this is a great opportunity for fellowship and refreshment.
Take advantage of the resources found in our district and make your Masonic life enjoyable!
