District Four Picnic - August 6th, 2000, Nile Temple, Seattle, WA

Again this year, the annual District Four picnic was held at Picnic Area C at the Nile Shrine Temple and Golf Club on Lake Ballinger in Mountlake Terrace (just north of Seattle).  The weather was unusually cool - (as you can tell by the pictures below), but Seattle was celebrating "Seafair".  On this Sunday the hydroplane races were roaring on Lake Washington, and the Blue Angels were swooping over the skies.   Our turnout was rather low, but fun was had by all who showed up.

The Only Warmth Available:   Most challenged the weather in short-sleeves, but many retreated to jackets from the back of the family car.

Setup: A few early arrivers helped with setting up and hoped for a  warmer afternoon.

The Crowd:  Ignore the backdrop!  Hum...   Sunglasses and  blankets.  It must be summer in Seattle.
